Description

Prestige Pane UJPP1a King George V 2010 DX50

Machin Pane.

Issued  8th May 2010 to commemorate the London 2010 Festival of Stamps & also the Centenary of Accession of King George V.

Printed in Gravure by Walsall on nonfluorescent paper with die-cut perf 15 x 14 (self-adhesive gum). There is also blue backing paper.

From Prestige Booklet DX50, pane number 4.

There are TWO variations of the security ‘U’- shaped slits found on these panes (UIPP1). This version has very small breaks at the top and bottom of the ‘U’-shaped slits on ALL stamps (These are probably Type II slits).  We have called this pane UIPP1a as we believe Gibbons do not differentiate between the two types of security slits.

Date and Source Codes: MA10/MPIL. (The ‘P’ in MPIL signifies that the stamps are from a Prestige pane).

Gibbons Specialised catalogue QEII Volume 4 Part 1 number UJPP1. Contains two x 2nd class blue with one 4.5mm centre band (UJW29); four x 1st class gold with two bands (UJW30); and two x 50p grey  with two bands (UJW31).

Concise (2019) catalogue number U2917a valued at £16.00, containing two x 2nd class (U2962); four x 1st class (U2966). There are also two x 50p (U2917). Face value during January 2021 is £5.92.

Unmounted mint and in pristine condition.

INFORMATION SOURCES:

First of all, Royal Mail will handle your order. Therefore please see our Shop menu for postal options:  Postage                                                                                              We only charge postage for the first item in most cases. Thus any further items purchased would not increase the final postal charges. Furthermore we do not charge you for envelopes and packaging.

Recorded Delivery or Registered Post is also available if required. Loss or damage compensation can be claimed, therefore, if this option is taken.

We mention Stanley Gibbons catalogue numbers where it is possible. These numbers are either from the “Concise Stamp Catalogue” or from the “Specialised Stamp Catalogue Volume 4 Part 1”. We will try to mention any other numbering that we may use if not covered by the above. Sometimes particular stamps, Smilers sheets, booklets, miniature sheets, or cylinder blocks are not recognized anywhere. Hence, in this case, we would use our own expertise to describe and value that  item.

In conclusion, all of our stamps are unmounted mint and in an excellent condition. We will mention any variation to this statement.

Please let us know if we have made a mistake with this description.
