Smilers Sheet TS-041 Philatex Reprint

The first ‘Business Customised Sheet” was issued during December 2001 and produced by Royal Mail for Eagle Coaches This sheet celebrated their 75th anniversary and was printed in gravure by Questa. Ridgewood Publishing’s catalogue numbered this issue BC-001.  The quantity printed is unknown and this first sheet with its counterpart, BC-002, are probably the rarest of the Business Sheets.

The first few sheets published proved to be very popular with the Stamp Collecting fraternity. Since then over 300 issues of Business Sheets have been marketed and subjects range from Dr Who to many different Football Clubs, Stampex Sheets,  Rugby Heroes, Elvis, Concorde, and different Poppy themes to name just a few.

These Business Sheets did not have the option for personalised photographs to be attached.

Smilers Sheets are despatched in a large A4 envelope with Flyweight stiffeners, and costs are £1.24 second class;  £1.45 first class; £2.55 for Royal Mail Signed For; and £6.95 for Special Delivery – these costs are for packets of up to 100 grams. Please ask for costs that are likely to be more than 100 grams.

INFORMATION SOURCES:

First of all, stamps will be well packaged and sent by Royal Mail. Therefore please see our Shop menu for postal options.  Postage.

We only charge postage for the first item in most cases. Thus any further items purchased would not increase the final postal charges.  Furthermore we do not charge you for envelopes and packaging.

We mainly use the Ridgeword’s “Customised Stamp Sheets of Great Britain” for our Smilers Sheets. We will try to mention any other numbering that we may use if not covered by the above. Sometimes particular stamps, Smilers sheets, booklets, miniature sheets, or cylinder blocks are not recognized anywhere. Hence, in this case, we would use our own expertise to describe and value that  item.

In conclusion, all of our stamps are unmounted mint and in an excellent condition. We will mention any variation to this statement.

Please let us know if we have made a mistake with this description.
