Description

Machin UG203 Single 5p NFCP PVA 2013

Issued  19th September 2013.

Printed by Enschede in lithograph.

Red-brown. Printed on non-fluorescent coated paper (NFCP) and also with polyvinyl alcohol gum (PVA). There are two long wave phosphor bands with blue fluorescence.

Source and date codes are MPIL and M13L.

Perforation 15 x 15 E Inverted. This anomaly was caused by the sheets being fed the wrong way round through the perforator. This resulted in the elongated perforation hole being at the top, instead of the bottom, of the vertical edge. The Merchant Navy Prestige Pane UHP32 pane is the only source of the two Machin stamps UG203 (5p) and UG205 (50p). The error was also not corrected at the time of the issue.

Gibbon’s GB QEII Specialised Vol 4 catalogue number UG203.

Concise (2017) catalogue number U3012g valued at £2.00.

Unmounted mint and also in pristine condition.

You are buying ONE single 5p stamp – let us know if you want a particular position from the pane.

We will try to mention any other numbering that we may use if not covered by the above. Sometimes particular stamps,  booklets, miniature sheets, or cylinder blocks are not recognized anywhere. Hence, in this case, we would use our own expertise to describe and value that  item.

In conclusion, all of our stamps are unmounted mint and also in an excellent condition. We will mention any variation to this statement.
