These stamps were printed on the “Jumelle Press”, and were without phosphor..

Designed after plaster cast by Arnold Machin.

Machin Large Format Issue

Perforation 14 x 15.

The stamps are on Fluorescent Coated Paper (FCP). They also have Polyvinyl Alcohol gum with Dextrin added (PVAD).

The colours are as follows:

£1.00: bright yellow-green and blackish olive; £2.00: light emerald and purple-brown; and also £5.00: salmon and chalky-blue.                                                                                                                                     !
